I need to "set the record straight" but do I need to correct the narrative or can I just not let shit go? Analyze what I need to correct and why. Then expose: sometimes setting the record straight is necessary; sometimes it's just ego can't handle someone having the wrong version. Map every time I "need" to correct something and reality-check: does this actually matter or am I just unable to let people think what they want? Show me where correction is warranted vs. where I just can't tolerate someone being wrong about me. Include: what I'm really protecting by setting records straight, whether this is about truth or about control, and if I need to correct things or just need to let go.
